Palliative care is the medical treatment focused on improving or maintaining a good quality of life of terminally ill patients by relieving the pain, stress and other debilitating symptoms, such as fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea, constipation and dehydration. Our aim is to help your pet carry on enjoying their daily life and your company and to ensure they still have a relatively normal social life.
Palliative care must be tailored to each individual pet: we will carefully assess your pet's condition, taking into consideration the treatment he /she is receiving, the clinical individual response, side effects and treatment options. You and your pet will never be left alone dealing with severe chronic illness or terminal disease. Martina, our vet, holds a Master Degree in Anaesthesia and Pain Management in Small Animals, her deep knowledge and experience in this field will serve to reassure you along this journey.
