What is an Animal Health Certificate (AHC)?

An Animal Health Certificate is essential for taking pets out of the UK to many international destinations, including EU countries, the USA, and China. It replaces the previous Pet Passport system and certifies that your pet is microchipped, vaccinated, and fit for travel.

  • All EU Countries, such as France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Portugal.

  • China
  • Japan
  • Canada
  • Australia

  • 4 months for travel within the EU or re-entry to the UK.
  • 4 months for returning to the UK after travel.
